Course: PED 7280 - Pediatric Hem/Onc Sub-Internship

Description: A sub-internship on the Hematology/Oncology ward (Lahey) at PCMC. Student is assigned patients as a ward intern and is fully responsible for their care and evaluation, under the direct supervision of the resident, fellow and attending physician. The student will participate in all teaching and service responsibilities including night call every 4th night as well as opportunities for certain procedures such as lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. Opportunities for exposure to outpatient Hematology/Oncology might be available.
