Course Details

Course: INTMD 7670 - Nephrology Clinical Clerkship

Description: Study of kidney disease and hypertension. This elective is designed to provide maximum exposure to the complete spectrum of clinical nephrology. This includes glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome, hypertension, fluid and electrolyte and acid base disorders, medical problems associated with chronic renal failure and renal transplantation. Each student will participate as a member of a consultation team including a faculty nephrologist, nephrology fellow, and medical students. The team acts as consultants for inpatients and as primary physicians for dialysis and transplant patients.
