Course: MD ID 7821 - Doctoring 1.1

Description: A 10-week-long course for first-year medical students to examine and develop skills pertaining to multiple facets of multidisciplinary clinical care, including exploration of the patient-doctor relationship; consideration of ethically- and practically-challenging scenarios; analysis of population health; navigating the healthcare system, patient safety, quality improvement, and healthcare disparities; development of medical decision-making; and acquisition of foundational clinical skills including history taking, physical examination, clinical test selection and interpretation, communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning. This course will run concurrently with, and provide clinical skills, ethics, and humanities correlate topics to, the Essentials 1.1 course.
