EMER 7620 - Emergency Ultrasound
Description
The student is expected to perform ultrasound exams in the ED for 20 hours per week. Faculty hands-on supervision will be available after didactic conferences the 1st-3rd Wednesday's of the month. Students are expected to perform ultrasound exams during the rotation and submit those studies to the ultrasound portal for QA and review. Ultrasound exams will be reviewed by faculty and returned to the student via the portal during the rotation. At least 10 ultrasound exams in each of the 6 major exam categories including FAST, aorta, renal, transabdominal/transvaginal 1st trimester, cardiac and gallbladder should be performed by the student during the rotation. You will be contacted by an instructor about orientation.
