INTMD 7984 - Wilderness Medicine in the Alps
Description
The course teaches students wilderness medicine in the spectacular city of Chamonix-Mt. Blanc in the gorgeous French Alps. . It teaches treatment of common diseases that are unique or at least common to the wilderness. Practical skills are taught so that a medical student knows how to manage neck injuries, move an injured patient and treat common fractures, dislocations and wounds. It is a popular elective.
