Description
A Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship is a model of clinical education in which students participate in the comprehensive care of patients over time, engage in continuity of relationships with preceptors, patients, health system & the surrounding community, while meeting core clinical competencies across multiple disciplines simultaneously. The specialties included in this introductory clinical experience include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Surgery. Settings for clinical experiences will be predominately outpatient with intermittent inpatient immersions. The Pediatrics Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship will provide experiences with patients of all ages; however, the focus when possible will be on the pediatric-aged patient.
