INTMD 7650 - Infectious Disease Clinical Clerkship
Description
Clinical experiences in the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases (ID). This 4 week elective will pair you with the general ID inpatient consult service at the University of Utah main hospital. As part of the inpatient consult team, you will work with an ID fellow, ID attending and possibly an ID pharmacist/pharmacy resident. You will be expected to work Monday-Friday with the weekends off. You will see a wide variety of "bread and butter" ID cases (bacteremia, endocarditis, skin/soft tissue infection, bone/joint infections) along with some other diagnoses such as tuberculosis and invasive fungal infection, depending on the week.
