Course: MD ID 6540 - Global Health Elective

Description: This elective may be individualized to meet the expectations of the student and might include a clerkship in a hospital or clinic, research in public health, clinical, or laboratory setting. It will be the responsibility of the student and the SOM preceptor to ensure that this is a valid learning experience in a setting that will not put the student at risk of too little or too much responsibility. The students will be expected to work 40 hours per week in the designated setting under the supervision of a qualified SOM and on-site preceptor. Students can choose from one of our partner sites or set up their own. Independent site must be approved prior to registration.
