Course: ORTHO 7440 - MS4 Orthopaedic Surgery Sub-Internship

Description: THIS COURSE IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS APPLYING TO ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY. STUDENTS ENROLLED IN JUNE THROUGH NOVEMBER SECTIONS MUST BE REGISTERING FOR THE 2026 MATCH. This rotation rakes place at University of Utah Medical Center (UUMC), Primary Children's Hospital(PCH), University of Utah Orthopaedic Center (UOC), or Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). A minimum of 4 weeks is required. The rotation will be split into two weeks on two different services assigned by the program director. Students will be given the name of the chief or senior resident to contact before coming. Students will be expected to be involved directly in patient care and will be allocated responsibilities commensurate with their abilities. Attendance at Grand Rounds, Core Curriculum, and Sub-Specialty Conferences is required.
