Course: INTMD 7981 - Wilderness Medicine - Search and Rescue

Description: Students will learn the common issues and methods of searching and rescuing injured patients in the backcountry. The course is taught in part by members from Salt Lake County Search and Rescue (SAR). The course will be taught in and around Salt Lake City. About 10% of the time the students will be in the classroom and the other 90% of the time they will be in the field. There will be final search and rescue scenario in which all students will participate. When outside, the students will on mountains, near cliffs and in some cases involved with cave rescue.
