Description
The course aims to use the value equation as a backbone for introducing important health system science topics to students. We will build upon our experience in directing the Value Driven Healthcare pathway to provide foundational knowledge with the following objectives: Understand the value equation in healthcare (interplay of quality, service, cost), Introduce students to healthcare economics principles, Describe the impact of payment methods on the provision of healthcare, and understand the basics of quality improvement methodology.
