SURG 7102 - Strategies for Healthcare Improvement
Description
The Strategies for Healthcare Improvement course is intended to provide students with a broad introduction to five ways that healthcare improvement can take place. Students will participate in seven two-hour sessions that will include didactic and group interactive learning, including guided discussion on case studies derived from actual improvement projects at the University of Utah Health to discover how clinicians and leaders utilized the five strategies to improve patient care. Students who wish to pursue value driven healthcare concepts in more depth are encouraged to continue in this four-year longitudinal pathway, including completion of clinical capstone experiences.
