UUHSC 6811 - Health Law for Non-Lawyers
Description
This course is an introduction to health law for non-lawyers. This course is intended as an introductory seminar to health law. Nurses, pharmacists, medical students and all health-related graduate students are encouraged to enroll. We will cover a diverse set of legal topics such as informed consent, medical malpractice, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, duty to treat, FDA regulations, and reproductive constitutional rights. No previous legal course work is required.

4/13/2020 - 5/15/2020 Section Details:
Students will be expected to work through the materials in the modules at their own pace. They will be expected to schedule at least one meeting per week with the instructor during the course term. These 4 meetings will be designed to answer any questions and to assure student comprehension of the assigned materials and may be individual or group meetings.
