INTMD 7984 - Wilderness Medicine in the Alps
The course teaches students medicine in the wilderness, where no medical help is available. It teaches treatment of common diseases that are unique or at least common to the wilderness. Practical skills are taught so that a medical student knows how to manage neck injuries, move an injured patient and treat common fractures, dislocations and wounds.

See for details and breakdown of estimated costs ($3800 fee, does not include airfare). After enrollment is approved and entered on main campus through the Learning Abroad Program, the School of Medicine Registrar will add it to your Tools schedule.
